Ayurvedic medicine has always known this plant which is also called Indian Saffron. In ancient Ayurvedic texts written in Sanskrit several thousand years ago, it is called Haridra.
In the West we know turmeric primarily as an aromatic, it is used in the preparation of most varieties of curry, but in Asia it has always been highly valued by Indian and Chinese therapists.
It is a real pharmacy, many studies have been conducted on its effects, particularly on joint inflammation, but also on the digestive, cardiovascular and immune systems. However, it is for its action on the articular pains that it is most often recommended. Regarding its effectiveness, scientists have found that its active substances, curcuminoids, are much more available in the presence of a small amount of another active substance, piperine.
It is also an excellent antioxidant and studies are currently underway to verify its action on cell degeneration. Ayurvedic indications: bitter, astringent, pungent; it acts on all tissues.
1 capsule morning, noon and evening with meals.
For 3 capsules: rhizomes of Curcuma longa 1245mg; fruits of black pepper* (Piper nigrum) 15mg, vegetarian capsule (hypromellose).
