Brahmi (Bacopa monnieri) is reputed to increase learning capacity. In the days when Ayurveda was transmitted orally, this plant stimulated the memorisation of an impressive quantity of written texts.
Nowadays, it is very useful during school exams or for small daily forgetfulness that becomes more frequent with age. Brahmi is traditionally consumed to reduce the aging of intellectual capacities.
Indians call it the "wisdom plant" and consider it a valuable ally for practicing yoga and meditation. According to Ayurveda, Bacopa Monnieri reduces stress, anxiety and aging of intellectual capacities. Considered to promote longevity, it increases the alertness of the reflexes and the mind.
